Today I have booked accommodation and enquires to Stay in Tauranga for a wedding 1st Dec

So somehting else to look forward to and work towards...getting sent home from work this afternoon and told not to come back till well isnt really gonna help...passing out behind counter wasnt a good look.

I feel like crap...stinking bloody head cold. runny nose streaming eyes pounding head...do I need a doctor nah I can tell I have a head cold.

Had hair spooffed up again this afternoon before going to Mums afternoon tea...got a phone call to say my girlfriend was in town so meet up for drinks at 5 then onto Dinner for Mum she is 70 today. By end of night I really felt like crap. Ate badly drank 3 wines but also had LOADS of water.

Have the kids tomorrow so hope they are good but suspect Miss will be stratchy cause she has the cold too.

Going to make a big pot of Minestrone Soup tomorrow and restart the weight loss task.

A little over 5 weeks to Aussie so I am going to make the best effort I can to be lighter.

Developed a bloody head cold yesterday afternoon BUGGER feel like shit and off to bed soon.

Out last night with work till 1am...had a gr8 night 3-4 wines with dinner of fetticine and salmon yum but sure not weight loss plan menu..and about 4 barcaardi and cokes actually thinking about it probably 5. Neat time but with late night and cold I feel like crap now so bed soon.

Go out 2 moro arfternoon with frends of Mums it is her actual b/day 2moro and then out for dinner at night...THEN ITS BACK TO WEIGHT LOSS want 5k off b4 Australia.

FANTASTIC WEEKEND

Had a great time.
Friday had face wax eyebrows and chin. Caught up with my neice(Chloe #2's Mum) Chloe is growing like a mushroom. Visited with my girlfriend. Then my aunty and uncle they werent coming to party dont celebrate birthday against there religion. Hubby and I dined at http://www.cafevalentino.co.nz/ had starter of antipasta plater I ordered a main but cancelled it..hubby had pizza then we walked to http://www.strawberryfare.com/ for desert The Ultimate Chocolate Desert delish. Got back to hotel about 11.
Sat up at 730 breakfast then 10am meet Rach for Aqua and spa, back to hotel for a shower.
12.30 hair appointment
then meet rach for lunch at http://www.speights-alehouse.co.nz/ had chicken parcel. Then back to hotel parked car and over to Farmers for a makeover. Was fantastic...took hour and half and I didnt beleive it was me looking back at mirror when she finished. She explained what she was doing and products she was using. Because I bought product it didnt cost. Back to hotel dressed...didnt wear the dress I had planned didnt feel comfrtable in it still to tight in arms so wore dress I bought for our wedding anniversary couple years ago. Hubby scrubbed up pretty good.
We left for http://www.addingtoneventscentre.co.nz/Twiggers got there a little early but happy with that Mum etc started arriving and loads of hugs and awesome greetings. Everyone thought I looked fantastic. I seen family we havent seen in yonks(photo is of me and my cousin last photo we remember together is when we were 5 (40plus yrs ago) Another cousin we lost touch with maybe 15 yrs ago. Was really sp for Mum to have grand kids at her party...apart from my son she has been seperated from her other 5 grandkids...my brother has 4 children but couldnt see them...my neice made contact with him about 18mths ago then a few mths ago he found out his eldest son was in social welfare care so brother is reuniting with him and hopes to maybe get custody. Also my other brothers boy (another estranged story) now 24 as of yesterday he drove down from Nelson we havent seen him in a long while so although Mum didnt have the usual granchild at her party she did have grand kids very special for her. We had a photo of Baby Sarah Kate and her Dad and Mum on the table so they were sorta there.

Mixed with guest so didnt over eat to much...still ate more than I would on a normal night at home but NOWHERE near the amount I would have normally eaten at one of these events... party finished up about 11.30 I checked nobody had left anything behind and walked out leaving the mess for others to clean up...not me yeah.

Plan was to meet for Aqua again Sunday...but my knee was pretty sore so piked.
Showered-great to get the gunk and product out of my hair...think I did a good job of getting it off my face b4 bed as the white pillowcase didnt have makeup on it in morning. Breakfast then dropped hubby off and he picked up his ute he had left it at friends I drove over to Aunties and meet with family b4 they all started to head home. Hubby and Dad went home Mum and I decided to stay another day...it was my Aunt we usually stay with birthday Monday so as I didnt have work till Tuesday we stayed another night.
Monday had breakie with Aunty Phyll did the birthday greetings and cards etc and then packed car got groceries visited with a friend of mine and left Chch 3.30 stopped at Ashburton at a friend of Mum's she couldn't come to party...left there just after 5 stopped for break and tea at Fairlie about 7 and home by 9. VERY TIRED.
Slept like a log

bed now when I got home from wrk this arvo could bearly lift one foot in front of other but now feel awake hope I can sleer might take a painkiller for knee and snuggle under blankets

just reporting in before I close off computer for a couple days off again...this time to Chch no not Sydney to see a bunddle of pink-did talk to her on phone this week and txt her yesterday her mummy txt me with her new weight 3.77k which means bugger all to me in pounds so not sure what her gain was but healthy gain I am told. Have txt her father AGAIN for pics...we are going to a family gathering on Sat and I want photos to show off of our baby girl.

Sat we are celebrating (with family and friends) Mum's 70th b/day...actual b/day isnt till Fri 24th but my aunty will be in Brisbaine so was more conveient to do it 18th...then we r going to have a small dinner with local friends on 24th here at home.

Some of family havent seen me in A LONG time so want to look by best, have hair appointent and getting face wax and hope to get make up done oh yeah have a big zit on my chin that will really impress NOT.

right have to move my butt and get ready for work have so much to do work really is an inconvienence but will be pennies closer to Sydney...havent mentiones Sarah Kate in like 2 minutes so just to finish SSHE IS BEAUTIFUL hehehehe

Went out last night with work friends-Thai restaurant at last minute husband decided not to go..nothing new there. rushed home from work to shower and get ready Mum was having a meltdown on the other end of telephone so spent half an hour attending to her. Showered dressed undressed dressed undressed after 5 changes went with brown pants and top...what jacket played the on again off again game again decided on my cape(not a good move strong norwest winds and walking home I am sure I nearly was lefted off ground). Ok got dropped at pub to meet others walking across road thought oh fuck I never shaved under my arms(cap sleeves so armpit well exposed)...off to dairy bought some cheap razers into pub loos blocked door with foot not something I was happy to have a public veiwing of...and did a quick under arm pruning. Then out I went no one aware of my antics.

A great night food was nice good company and several wines but also had several orange juices(calories probably the same but not so hard on the head this morning)

Still no new photos of my grand daughter hardly good enough.

Entered a competion tonight with air new zealand to win flight to Sydney gotta be in to win. Also priced tickets 2nd Oct $159.00 one way so soon as I get the pennies together and I confirm its ok with Anthony and Elaine I am off.

Got Mum's 70th b/day celebrations in Chch next weekend so an expence I could do without now I have a plane ticket to buy. Going to be a huge weekend and I am thinking of pulling out of a duathlon that I am due to do on the Sunday...paid for it but it really means such an early start and long day after a late night on the Sat for Mum's party. Also have family visiting from all over and would like to spend time catching up with them...will see on Friday how I feel and can I be bothered with all the drama of lugging bike up there for weekend etc.

Woke sneezing and runny nose this morning and throat been dry and scratchy all day hope I am not getting anything.

Bed for me now

Will go for at least 30 mins walk

Both have been slack since I got home.

Will do some house chores
(ooh yeah and I have a 3 yr old and 5 yr old to baby sit for the day won't that be fun)

I drove up to Chch after work on Tues arrived in town at 9.30 meet with friends and we coffeed and chatted till 1.30am...got to my aunties and then she wanted to chat for 30mins or so.
I got out of bed about 8.30 feeling like shit I dont do sleepless nights these days.Ihad more to come over the next few nights)
Had a few chores to attend to in town went to Classic Clothing got 3 prs of good trousers and a blazer for $95 out to airport about 12

Checked in peeved off cause they wouldnt take my case of clothes for the clothes swap cause I was over the weight limit(well they would but $45 charge). I have a girlfriend works at airport so got her to store the bag for me till I got back Monday...was good to catch up with Ava chatted for 30mins or so. Got on plane and it was nearly empty so cant see why they couldn't take my extra case.

My friend Ngaire was at Palmerston Nth airport to meet me...GREAT to see her. We had a great catch up lots of talking, lots of shopping-a great catch up.

I had spoken with ChrisH on phone and planned the time of my arrival etc for Sat. BuT on Sat morning I was so nervous to go to get2gether I rung Chris to say I wouldnt be coming but smacked myself into going and said I'd be at her place mid afternoon. Ngaire and her friend were going to "Cat's" show so dropped me at Chris door before they were off. Think Chris thought I had come for a month with size of my bag etc. Intros and the fun began...I didnt think again about being nervous. HAD A BLAST OF A TIME. I was sleeping in Chris changing room didnt sleep much was thinking about the fun time we had and my journey and where I want to head to from here...next get2gether I'll be in at least size 18. Up Sunday went with girls to Ezibuy for coffee and shopping Helena and Rachel dropped me back to Chris' before they headed back home. Janene was just leaving when we got back ssad I missed catching up with her and Miss Jorja again. Chris and I sat gabbering and blobbing for the afternoon.

At about 5 I got the txt from son (Anthony) to say they were off to hospital Elaine was in labour so for rest of evening I was on tender hooks...txt friends and family to report the news. We went to bed about 10.30 so I txt Anthony he replied Baby Soon so I guess they were busy. I lay there thinking again I had the phone close to me and on vibrate so as not to disturb the house hold thoughts of getting to a place in house that I would least cause the disturbance...wonder if house has alarm best not touch door handle and go out side incase it does (it does as it happens) thought kitchen and dining room is furtherest away from bedrooms so would head there. 12.10am I woke to phone and was Anthony...really not sure what he said but eventually got gist of mesage baby born a girl shes a woppa Sarah Kate...he was over the moon I wanted to yell with delight...spoke briefly to Elaine she was excited too. Chris meet me half way down hall with first congrate hugs I was intears by then and didtn think would be much sleep now. I couldn't txt everyone back with news was to late at night but did txt my girl friend Jo as I was sure she'd still be up she works till 11, she was awake. I also txt Mum cause Anthony was ringing her next so back and forth txt conversation with her for about 10mins. My cell phone went flat so turned it off but slept the night with it in my hand cause it was sorta like holding bubby.

Monday was full on txting and letting ppl know the news. Packed my baggs Chris and I went to Churchyard Cafe for Brunch beaut food(had been there last time we had P/N catchup so bought back fond memories) then to some serious baby pink shopping. We went to Pumpkin Patch but caouldnt see anything filly enough...so headed to Farmers got a couple of pink sleep stretch suit things and 'PINK ELEPHANT' for me to cuddle we also had a peek at the new season clothes nothing really had to be bought just now. We headed out to airport and checked in (they never charged me for extra weight so put my cary on bag in luggage) still had all my coats and jackets and a carry bag of breakables to go on plan with me, had a coffee more chatting and u know what we still never run out of things to say...not time at all it was time to board plane.

I had time to catch my thoughts and maybe wasnt a good thing casue I started blubbing. Sarah was already 12 hrs old and I hadn't seen her....started sobbing(guess lack of sleep didn't help have also since got my period so that would have contributed to the emotions too) opened my eyes and the old lady next to me moved her hands looked similar to my own grandmothers (with arthritic knuckles etc) she passed away 25 yrs ago but still miss her...so I was really crying now and felt like a right dauwk but couldnt help myself. Then got thinking about my friend Chris that passed away in March and how this must have been how excited she felt when Ang had Miss Chloe....so thought about how she won't see her grand daugther grow..more tears. Thanksfully I was able to controll myself because I was sure pple were watching me. Also sure my face was scarlet and eyes puffy.

Plane landed meet Ava again collected my bag rung car storeage collected car and started the journey home. I wanted to check out Classic Clothing again so headed there an hour wasted cause couldnt find anything more to buy. Then headed to Hornby Mall bought myself a pink balloon with 'its a girl' and a bunch of daffodils from the Harnby Florist (sorta sentimental as my only flowers I got when I had Anthony 30 yrs ago were from Hby florist) Then went to photo shop and they downloaded my pics and printed them for me got a copy for me and Mum. Headed to my friend Leslies for a coffee and toilet stop stayed about an hour. Left at 6 got fuel and off I went already tired and nt looking forward to the long haul home...had several stops for toilet just to wake me up and stop that wide open eyes have to steer all the time cant dare close my eyes. Got home just after 10. Hubby was wwaiting up so he congratulated me on baby then I gave hime the pressies I bougth him Then went round to Mums with her photo etc and had coffee got home and to bed at 11.30.

Not happy when alarm went off at 6.30.

Have had loads of phone calls and emails from family and friends about our bundle of joy and 2 cards guess what both the same absolutley beauitful cards. Shown pics to everyone some I am sure hadnt got a clue who Anthony is but thats tough they seen his baby pics away heheehe

Tues I was like a zombie at work and actually got sent home at 3...did manage a nap in the chair. Couldnt help myself on way home bought another pink suit but think I have told ya about that.

Wed night I had early night 8.30 shut door so couldnt hear any phone calls and woke at 6.30 with alarm...bursting but rested....mind u feel knackered now been such a long slow day at work.

Today was less zombie like but ready for bed now

had a phone call from Anthony with more photos he is so chuffed with his effort a collage sorta thing with music its beautiful We talked for nearly an hour and then took a wee bit to get back to sleep so I am feeling really ragged now at 7 and gotta brush up and look awake and alert for a full days work....didnt realise just how many sleepless nights being a Granny would entail hehehe

So tired today-was dead at work so went home at 3 and to be honest I think I'd have fallen to sleep if not....did nothing when I got home and did have a wee snooze in chair of course I can have Nana naps now ya know.

Couldnt help myself last night and checked out trademe for pink and frilly so my watch list is full again hehehe. Then this afternoon after wrk I called into the local shop and they have a rack of pretty stuff I had been eyeing up FOREVER and bought a sweet wee suit pink and frills and rosebuds who could pass that up afterall and half price...but I must stop or at least slow down.

Just watching the amazing race and those snotty pricks have just been eliminated YES so dont like those two didn't last time didn't this time.

Right gonna pull out the boxes of 'stuff ' I have been collecting over the past months.

While away a book I had bought off trademe arrived "A world of Winnie-the-Pooh" A collection of stories, verse and hums about the Bear of Very Little Brain. Flicking thru pages and there is a verse that was above Anthony's crib in Neo-Natal Unit when he was born havnt been able to ever find it since and here it is exactly 30 yrs later...and Pooh Bear which is the theme for spare room.
