AVON CALLING

hey ya girls things are ticking along here nicely. I am exhausted but whats new there.

Started another job yesterday..admin in local pub, girl doing it at present is away soon to have a baby so only temperary till she is back but a great stopgap for me and god send actuallly about 25 hrs a week and can fit it around present job..and they are being great I am getting hours when really I am not needed. Then today I started selling Avon so anyone interested in me sending them a brochure please send me a message...looking forward to the challenge.

We had the annual Salmon and Wine festival here on Saturday so I vouleentered to help out there it was a stinking hot day but a great crowd had a great time so all was good...hopefully next year I'll be away from here so won't 'vouleenter' again

Right think Im gonna hit the sack I am whacked it is nearly dark...was going to go for a bike ride earlier there is no wind for a change but think the rest will do me more good. But must get my arse into gear gained a kilo this week at weight management.

tried loading the latest photos which arrived last night of Miss Sarah but blogworld wont let me load them so will have to try another day...son is ringing tomorrow night hope it is to tell me when they are coming over but suspect it will be to say they arent coming and the photos were sent to butter me up...will be so disapointed if that happens.

time for a quick update

doing ok-had a bad day on Thursday, had been to WINZ to see what assistance they could give me answer zilche...wankers

Been out every night except last saturday not partying all the time just out visiting friends etc and partying hehehe did the friday night happy hour thing last night but it was a bit slow so I was home by 10.30pm

Went to little town out of Oarmaru (called Kakanui) last Sunday for the night - I was in heavan beach just across the road..thinking maybe that will be where I head to when house sells. Gotta get it tidy first HUGE job. Spent today in garden and guess what all I got done was cutt back one flippen rose...granted it was well over grown and HUGE 8 wool sacks of crap and lots of scratched and sore back later took all flippen day. will sleep well tonight...that is if my knee will let me it is BLOODY sore.

Himself has been around twice today to take away some crap...a dead trail bike that has sat out side my lounge window for 12 mths or more and 2 gates that were to be put on front of section to keep dogs etc out 6 yrs ago and never have been put up...guess he has sold them cause he does naught for nothing but to be honest I am just pleased to see them gone and could care less if he got dollars for them.

Just had a scrummy tea of chicken snitzel(garlic and ginger) and vege stack...port mushroom, egg plant, capsicum, tomato, feta cheese, zuchinni, more capsicum and egg plant drizzled with home made pesto...cooked in balsamic vinegar and olive oil. I tell u it was delish.

Now off to mothers to pick raspberries...so desert will be fresh raspberries and nat yogurt, how healthy is that.

Sat night was the only night i've been home since so was pleased for a quiet night..girl friend came around for coffee though so that ws nice.

I stayed Sun night at my friends (Ngaire use to live in P/N and I stayed with b4 the bloggers weeekend she has moved back down south to Kakanui) went for a nice walk last evenng when it cooled down a bit been dreadfully HOT here lately hate it. But last night was s pleasant walking along the beach road...couldn't actually get to waters edge but was pleased to actually hear the sea. neat catching up with N....she is like a second mother to me.

Today I got to see specailist about knee...not sure that was a total success but oh well. Then have an appointment to see Lawyer so will have more idea of where I am at....might get time for a walk along Caroline Bay and a dabble in the sea looks like it gonna be another hot one.

have lost 109k already this year

life has been pretty full on since new year and just havnet had time to post but woke earlier than I planned so have a spare hour so here goes.

Yesterday was my birthday(9th January) had an AWESOME DAY...went to a friends for breakfast yummy then worked and lots of warm fuzzies thru the day home was exhausted had 5 mins shut eye in chair then showered dressed and Dawn picked me up at 7.15 and we wnet to Omarama for dinner YUM coupl glasses of bubbles then back to town for dessert and coffee berry cheesecake yum yum

Tuesday was first weigh in since weeke b4 Xmas and I managed to stay same so VERY pleased with that. Went for wine after weigh in nice to sit cool of evening and relax with a friends

that should be sunday and can't get it to cut and paste Lyne and Tony came to town so L came round for coffee and chat think she went home about 10.30...neat to catch up. Slept like a log after the exhausting weekend.

Thurs 3rd Jo (walking aqua drowning buddy from Chch) arrived Jo and I talked till well into morning...I had work Fri so up and left Jo sleeping plan was she'd explore town and meet me at 3 when I finished work...she didnt get much exploring done(so will have to return to do that) We had coffee and Poppies and waited fr Rach to arrive ( other walking aqua drowning buddie frm Chch) she arrived about 5. We came back her I cooked chicken stuffed with tinned apricot and cheese(didnt have an blue darn) and yummy salad...then we went out for party time great night got home about 3 STARVING so we made toasted ham/cheese and tomatoe toasted sammies...Jo and I sat up laughing and talking till Dawn...I had a sore thraot frm laughing so much. Sat we muddled around doing pretty well bugger all .... Sat night we went partying again little bit quieter than night b4 but still nice music and good company. Got home around 12.30
Sunday we had lunch down town then Rach headed home must have been VERY hot drive as it was like 33 here. Jo stayed till it was cooler and left about 6 as I said earlier Lynne came around.

oh yeah and on 2nd Jan I kicked hubby out...yup girls I am free single and 109k lighter.

just had a gut full and blew( well actually was pretty calm really have seen me explode worse) told him I had a gut fll and to piss off he did I said I was over him big time. I txt mum but wasnt ready to talk to her I transfered what little money we had in joint acc to my personal acc so he didnt have access to it and I felt BLOODY GREAT. I never cried (still havent) I never thought fuck what have I done(still haven't) I know I have made the right move. Ok yes I have no money and work casual so after Feb will not have a cent to rub together I will have to sell house etc but I am not actually overly worried about that. I can d what ever I bloody well like. I am single. first time in my life I have lived alone so that will be interesting. Have had a clean sink for a week, havent had to pick up after anyone...sit on cold porceline, listen to drivvel talk about recycled rubbish or TRAINS. I am free.

Sat morning the girls and I (Jo was already coming for wk/end but as soon as Rach heard I had kicked himself out she threw her bag in car and drove straight down I am so greatful for her these 2 girls were my rock over the weekend) any way we were heading to Poppies for brunch and hubby txt do I want to talk I said I wasnt ready but after much talking grls and I decided was best to do the 'talk' while they were here for after care. So I arranged meet hm at Poppies cafe public but at 4.30 was quiet. So we met and after listening to his grumbles about how hot it was and work and this and that we talked about y we were there. We both agreed it wa over and not worth continuing in the direction we were going. He siad I could have house...whch of course now the lawyers are invloved that token guester is naught. we talked for about 1.5 I guess and went our seperate ways. He has txt couple times. Yesterday was his day off so I said he could cme around and he got a few things and tidied some of his scrap metal SHIT out of back yard...he organise a load of shingle to be delivered to tidy yard(been waiting 4 yrs for that) case of to little to late. he got rid of a shit load of shit...not that I can actually see where from cause there is still a dead trail bike and crap for africa out the lounge window he was to do more today but he is off to Timaru to see a lawyer...he was lucky enough to get one open I have rung 3 and all still closed for Xmas...I suspect all the niceties will finish after he has seen lawyer. he went to bank yesterday and closed his account and took his name off joint acc-so much easier than closing it and me having to set up new and all auto payments etc. I have stopped sky tv (actually havent had tv on since he left)and cancelled heaps of shit un needed stuff we had here to make us look important like caller id and minder on phone just costing money. And stopped payment on his HP's he can take on that shit and the lap top he so kindly bought me for Xmas and then it was on tick so who was paying in long run but muggins. While he was here yesday doing yard stuff I said he could use washign machine if he liked so he did a load of washing. Then he txt me when I got hme from work could he cme around to collect some clothes he didnt want to go in the bedroom whle I wasnt here...that was good. He knocked on door when he arrived an didnt stay long. I was going out any way. I didnt say where or who with..not his business.

So that is my new year in a nut shell...bloody great one so far. 2008 is Felicity's year.

Ok I will no doubt hit the wall at some time and crash it has been pretty full on and single life is exhausting but I KNOW I have done the right thing

hell best get butt into gear and get redy for work last thing I need is to loose the job I have. (looking for another night job to help with bills-will put out feelers and let ppl know I am looking still 3 -4 mths of summer season left and the students will all be going back to uni soon making more vacanies)

it is so load the stuff on coffee table is vibrating-but the joy of wireless and laptop is I can go elsewhere in the room and avoid the noise. Actually I have enough to do n the kitchen to keep me away from the noise. Hubby is happy though. Im thrilled with my new boots.

dish washer is churning washing machine is onto its 8th load 4 already on line nearly dry ready for next lot bathroom sparkles kitchen clean except floor-hate washing floors...ready for the next mess which isnt far off cause I am about to make the pav. havn't made one in years but couldnt get one in town Monday (well I could but wasnt paying 12 dollars) will give it ago. Will make a quiche for tea with the yokes.

Remembered this morning I was gonna get hubby one of those fly zappers and a pair of jandles...he is ALWAYS steeling my jandles forgot oh well to sad never mind. Got him a couple of daft pressies.... he won't be happy but tough. He has got me a NEAT pair of boots off trade. I am thrilled to bits with them...bring on winter so I can wear them.

off to Mum's tomorrow to make shortbread I am sure we said last 2 yrs we are not making it again but family DEMANDS it...take the whizz around and cuts hours off time but still lot of fuss for something I dont even eat. family tradition...my grandmother (mum's mum) always made shortbread for Xmas and we'd get a little pack usually in a bell tea packet so when she died mum started doing it, this was fine 20 yrs ago when she was well enough but now she just hasnt got the strength in her hands etc so i have helped last 4 yrs but with work it is a pain in the arse...blow the christmas spirt. Will make a couple of batches and then when son comes over in feb will make some more then he LOVES Grandma's shortbread.

Monday we have champayne breakfast with the work crowd..another tradition then work till 4. and into the party spirit again, havent been out since we had the work bus trip so well past time for a blow out.

Hubby and I are having a quiet at home day Xmas. I plan to make pancakes with peaches and maple syrup for breakie(has any one else tried the Queens maple syrup without added sugar it's yummy and I just use it at Xmas so think its a good treat 300ml bottle and its its 3rd year. Then we pla to go for a walk...had planned a tramp up Mt Cook way Tasman glacier but my knee isnt up to that so will just go for a walk along the lake 1hr return. Then lunch is just going to be a HUGE platter of nibblles all stuff normally dont eat thru the year..olives, cheeses, salami for himself, smoked chicken, ham off bone, more cheeses, breads crackers, chutneys and dips(gonna have a go at making hummus if I get a chance tomorrow) also have strawberries and grapes etc ordered. for pud will make my broken glass jelly (Felicity adpated version) said pav, one hopes, with yogurt and fresh fruit. decided not to make a trifle, hubby not so keen on it and really dont NEED it myself. Still have Xmas pud in pantry from last year and HAVE to have cream on that...might make that for tea.

Well my blogging family I best get moving this pav isnt gonna jump out of the recipe book and into the over without my help.

The Christmas bug...made my pav and thought hey y not put the Xmas Cd's on and one thing lead to another and next thing the Xmas tree was up looks ok too need an extention cord for the 3rd set of lights but otherwise looks ok and with the decorations already up(still from last year hehehe) lounge looks almost Xmasy will through vacum around tomorrow I am whacked now and still have to make tea was hoping to manage a wee bike ride this evening too...promised myself a ride this week and hey there ain't a lot of the week left.

Arrived in Chch last night at 11.30 after a VERY wet drive by time we had a coffee and hello with aunty it was nearly 12.30 b4 settled in bed woke at 5.30 and that was it for sleep. So left the rest of house to it and I shot into town to the internet cafe.

Got a lot on today had hoped to have a destress walk on beach this evening after dinner-but still pouring with rain ick.

Where i am sitting i am looking straight at the food counteroh all these luvly muffins and crossaints yummo but i am not having any will go to coffee culture soon and have muslie

Waiting for Farmers to open which is over the road have couple of tops couldnt get when I had the Layby issue the other week so will look here they have a larger selecton bigger store etc.

Busy busy

yesterday I washed 12 loads-the fact 4 of them was baby clothes trade purchases I have collected over the last nearly 12 mths wow it has been nearly a year since I heard I was gonna be a Granny. Thought after I had folded and put away the baby stuff i should have taken a photo of the wash line it looked so cute...did cross my mind to hang it all out again just to take a photo. So loads of pink stuff ready for Miss Sarah's visit. Some I have decided will be to small so will relist them or pass them onto my niece Chloe number 2 even though she is 4 mths older than Sarah she is still tiny being so prem to startwith.

I even managed to do a bit of gardening. This is a biggie me cause I hate gardening with a passion.

Back to work tomorrow thankfully only 9-3. Get knee re-dressed at 11.30 so will be a quick sandwich for lunch while she is doing that still mucky.

Back to Christchurch agian Thursday after work so thats gonna be a LONG day. Have friends and family to catchup with home again Monday via Timaru hospital for Mum and Xmas grocery shop hope that is all for Timaru and we can be away by 3...also hope it's not so flippen hot by then...yesday got to 37 today 34 so spent a lot of this afternoon in lounge with the air con on just turned it off about 10mins ago.ink i might hav

Went around to Mum's this morning she has lost about 15k since having her knee replacement so most of her summer clothes don't fit so have a clothes basket full of her stuff to list for her to set up a trade account for her as I have my full quota of listing already-wish she had given it to me last week when i was recouperating and sitting doing nuffin...hahaha

 

Had hoped Anthony might have rung tonight and i really want to go to bed will hang out till 10.30 still only early over there.                

Getting hot in here again thankfully got the ceiling fan on in bedroom.

I am loosing track of the days...abut all I am loosing I might add.

Went out for a lovely meal with friends last night 9 of us giggly gals had nice fish and cheesecake for dessert yummo

Won a nice bedspread on trademe this morning for the spare room...so when I have gal visitors I can have pretty spread on bed...ok will still have pooh bear on the walls etc.

Went for a walk yesterday took me like forever and a bit stumply on way home so wont go today just do my knee exercises.

just heard an old neighbour passed away yesterday sad he has had cancer been ill several years.

Neighbour bought me over a loverly bowl of fruit and pretty card with a little girl paddling in the sea...very thoughtful.

son txt me wanting me to run an errand for him-bugger had just got in the door so off I trotted again(well took the car) did his banking for him..told him it would cost him photos of my grand daughter havent had any since I got home from Aussie..not good enough. Told him I want to talk to him on computer Sunday.

Have sat up every night since home from hosptial till after 2 and today I am feeling it so plan an early night.

Haven't got a clue what I do for tea...would be nice to go out every night.

Nurse just been she v happy with progress and wounds etc so all good.

Sitting around doing nothing is driving me nuts-done a bit of reading-done a lot of spending on trade me, sold a few things so still coming out even..had time to list stuff..more to do this arvo. Did a bit of gardening with hubby yesday-I sat on a chair he chopped back perennials and I chomped them smaller for the gabbage bag not very energetic but good to see it done. We went to a cafe for coffee yes arvo and then a wee drive so got to see the world as it looks from little old Twizel. Pottered doing bit of washing and cooking and that is about it...will make an effort and fold washing soon...resting after shower and nurse being...well that my excuse. Still have to go for me wee walk yet to.
