Thanks guys

All the great comments gave me warm fuzzies. I still get high when I think of what I acheived.
Have paid entry for 10k walk in Timaru next Sunday, will drive down on Saturday hope in a way Mum won't come if she comes we will have to stay in a motel, if not I'll stay in Cabin at motorcamp but to far for Mum to trot thru night for toilet...$30 verse $110 would be nicer on my pocket but would also be good for Mum to come to cheer me over the finish line. She is going to decide by tomorrow.
I have also decided to do another Duathlon in Chch 9th April. Sun Latte series have added duathlon to the chch leg. I will do it as cheap as possible casue i will be cuting into my holiday spending money. Will also cancell my hair colour appointment and put off my dietican appointment for April will save me $200 well wont actually save but will not have to spend u have to have it first to save it hehehehe.
Handed in my notice on Friday, at mechanic workshop job I hate. So she was going to decide over weekend how much time etc she wants off b4 i leave and I told her I can work til 26th April then I finish but if she wants me to leave sooner that is fine too. Will be more holiday money longer i stay.
When in town last weekend I bought some stuff called Nectar (kiwifruit and aloe vera) thought it might help with constipation...just had a glass with lunch yum it is reall nice. Will see if it has desired effect.
Went for a 18k bike ride this morning lovely day for it lots of others out. Most said howdy, surprising how many folks speak when biking. 1 hr 13mins 20 secs love this stopwatch thing Mum got me from Avon. It annoys me arround my neck tapp tapping as I ride so i hung it on the clothes line and pushed start as I left and stop when I arrive back prbaly took th 20 secs to get off bike to do it hehehehe. Then I showered and thought to hell I am gonna put something nice on so put on a nice skirt size 18 but it is a roomy shirt and new top bought last week size 22 so my sp k top was right wow size 22. Walked around to Mum's just 10mins or so there nd back not worth mentioning reallly other than fact there once was a time it would take me all my energy to walk there and Dad would bring me home or hubby pick me up and felt like I had walked a marathon now I make statement lick just a wee walk to Mum's after biking 18k.
And that just shows to me how far I have come.
What have you done today to make you feel proud.
Well I think I might go have a Nanna nap didn't sleep well last night and think I deserve one. Of course there is plenty I should be doing but it will all still be there when I awake.

Cheerio

I was very disapointed there was nothing in the newspaper about the event I thought it was newspaper worthy hell afterall 2700 women got out of there bed on a wet cold dark Sunday morning and did it. And one of them was me. headlines should have read she did it Wouldn't have mattered who the she was we'd have all knew it was us. One of my work mates said she is going to cancell the paper on Mondays as a protest hehehehe.

Bought myself a set of yoga pants and tops from warehouse as a reward for wearing to tai chi. Still a bit skimpy but will grow down to them in no time.

Sunday March 12th 2006

Had a early wake up call at hotel for 5am up showered, surprised how well I slept.. Did want to go down to dining room in bike shorts etc so dressed in street clothes plan was to change at venue. Went out and loaded car, wouldn’t you know it just starting to rain. Went to breakfast eat a hearty meal, race didn’t start for 2 hrs so thought most of breakfast will be warn off. Left at 6.30 pitch dark. Drove to QE2 park already there was heaps of people. Check out bike set up transition box and marker ribbons (I had a bamboo stake in a bit of 6x4 timber with purple and pink curling ribbons tied to it, very effective as it happens) By now it was pelting down with rain and freezing cold. Changed to bike shorts etc and went to area for briefing. Then some rather lively lads took us for aerobic warm up. Before we knew it was time to start heading to starting line-left in waves of 50 people. Rain had stopped.
Started walking but before leaving grounds rest of my wave were well ahead of me heard next lot starting hooter go and some already passing.
Track around road edge was rough and I was worried about rolling on my ankle, after a while either the road got better or I was less harressed because it didn’t worry me the same…soon we were back in park and travelling around grounds back to bikes and off we go again took a bit to get passed the bulk of bikes before I could get on my bike just as I was about to I could see the lady in front of me loosing control and off she went crash…she looked to have bike clips on her pedals and had her feet caught in them…note to self bike clips are dangerous. Once this we drama was over I was off and for a good while making good time on bike whizzing along have no idea what I was passing or where I was going for that matter I was just going. When I did the test ride on Saturday I rode straight past the gate I was so busy consintrating on the road, thankfully the route was well marshalled could have ended up any where otherwise hehehe. Pleased with bike ride all round. It was the ride that concerned me the most as my childhood history of bikes and roads was not a pleasant one. Dismounted well, hubby was there with video and got a great shoot of me un loaded bike and off on next leg, 1.5k walk starting to wilt but soon got second wind and although I run out of water I didn’t have much room left in my bladder to store any more…came around to finish line and Tash, Shilo and Jimmy were there. Mum and Aunty Phyl got misplaced but I found them soon after finishing.
Hubby had a big grin on his face...think he was proud of me.
I BLOODY KNOW I WAS PROUD OF ME!
Somewhere thru the morning the radio announcer started singing the theme song for the biggest loser program on telly-What have you done today to make you feel proud.

Time 1 hour 39 mins 7 secs stoked with that as had wanted to do it under 2hrs.

So number 864 is a winner.

18k bike ride

Yesterday (saturday) I planned on going on my canal bike ride all up is 18k. I set off at9.15 it was still crisp but alovely morning I decided to wear a jacket though and am pleased I did. Trekked along at a steady pace stopping breifly at begining of canal to blow my nose and have a swig of water and re-ajust myself on the seat oh those cycle shorts will be bliss. Managed to get a pari off trade me so hope they fit. Got to the motor camp hill and did it in a higher gear than last time and after 14 k so pleased with that. continued on to home and guess what only 1 hour 10 minutes. I was stoked.
Home for a shower. I had taken a peanut butter sandwich with me on bike but didn't need it so munched onit on way to massage. Decided to walk so didn't have to jerk when driving home after after 2 hours of sheer heavan I walked around to Mum's for a coffee. No sonner had I walked in the door the phone rung it was hubby he had gone to town for the day on his motor bike and rung to say he had a flat tyre come and collect him. shit. So much for not driving. So finished coffee walked home to find van needed water etc etc so floudered around getting that hitched the trailer got ties for holding bike and I was off about an hour after he rung. Got gas. Trip is normally only an hour but with trailer(which had no warrnet so sure didn't wanta be noticed) I only travelled at 80k 3/4 on way i started feeling strange and loosing consintration. Realised by now it was nearly 4 and I hadn't eaten any thing substancual since breakfast at 7.30 and thenmy long ride and massage. Stopped at a road side takeaway bar and got a coffee...there greasy menu didn't apeal but the coffe was good and nice clean toilet phew. I hadn't thought to grab a jacket and it was getting cold and I was tired. Got to hubby at 5. He loaded bike while i walked down to toilet again then we went for coffee and i had a bowl of soup and crusty bread. Not the best choice it was very cheesy but was warm and filing.Back on road again at 6 home at 7.30...told hubby he owed me a massage.
Met a new contact online and we just seems to click and talked till 1am when I realised the time I cut it short and offto bed.
Slept like a log.
Woke at 8 had breakfast.
Did a walking DVD i had borrowed off a friend in Dunedin when I was there last. 45mins good work out and I kept up step for step.
Did what seemed like a million loads of washing...load was crammed full and some on clothes airer. 2 hrs scrubbing and cleaning kitchen and bathroom.
LUnch was tomatoes on toasted yum.
Then I went for a walk, had promised myself a hill walk today so managed that. It was a lovely afternoon, bit breezy but lovely.Nice to get some fresh air. 1hr
Came home and had a Nana nap.
Srcambled eggs and mixed veges for tea.
Working tomorrow because I have taken Friday off to go to Christchurch. At least he has decided on 7.30 start.
