Jumping for Joy Screaming out loud Dancing on the tabletops

Can you hear me?
Do you see me?

I am so excited weighed in this morning and recorded a loss of 1.5 kilos. Not only is this a great thing it means I have moved from the mark I met back in bloody October.
I am also onto virgin fat.
I never got down this far 'last time' I only got to 128 last time this morning I clocked at 127.5k.
I gave the gal doing the weighing a big huge.
So very excited as well asu can imagine. At last I am moving down.

To celebrate I am wearing my jeans I bought a month or so ago. See Jan 1st entry re the big thing this is me in jeans. So I thought it was a fitting reward to wear them for first time today.

Yesterday we(Mum and I) went for a lovely walk along the lake edge at Pukaki. Was only to take 20 mins in and out but suppose we were about an hour ten. We stopped for a break and I had a yougurt and nectarine to stop me feeling woozy. Came home and washed the car it was filthy and took a good hour. Came in and had a yummy chicken salad for lunch and orange...while eating orange I thought it would have been nice in the salad must think of it next time. Decided on a snooze at 4 felt good when I got up.
Cooked steak and veges (cauli, carrots and corn, broad beans and baby tatties) for tea.
Just watched a bit of telly in the evening while hubby tinkeredon his bike in garage...just remembered about an hour ago I wanted to bid on a flippen auction on trade me at 10 last night not a lot of good thinking about it at 1pm the next bloody day now is it. Oh well obviously wasn't meant to be.

Went to gym this morning and then to TaiChi walked onto Mum's for a coffee and then home for lunch. I took a snack of yogurt and a nectarine again so had this at Mums because I was getting faint again. For lunch I had porridge where is it written I have to have porridge for breakfast and that is just what I felt like. Rolled oats with apple and sultanas and trim milk.

Best get back to reality and do some housework

Another go me moment!!

Slept well last night, went to bed at 9.30 think hubby came in about 11.30.
Got up at 7 and felt good.
Had breakfast then went out put my bike on the trailer and picked up Dad he drove me out to the canals and dropped me off. I biked back into town it was alovley ride quiet, clean air, great views and rather restful. I so enjoyed it. 11.5ks back into town. Got some rather strange looks from some sheep. Only took me an hour I felt so good when I arrived back in townonly uncomfortable bit was the seat, although it is way more comfy than hubbies still sore but once I get to town next month I'll hunt down some bike pants and that will help.
Had a nice Meadow Fresh yogurt drink and a banana when I got back. This yogurt is very yummy, I'd never tried them b4 but grabbed one when I was in town on Wed, thought would be handy on the Duathlon. Low GI and has the heart tick and 99.5% fat free sohad gotta be a good snack. Will get some more of these.I had Apricot and Peach flavour-yum yum yum.
Did a bit of housework-for some strange reason there is no washing to do that isa first for a Saturday I can tell you. Then I made lunch. Tried recipe off back page of latest Weight Watchers mag. 'Spinach and cheese toasties' very nice.

Felicity Day-21st February 2006

Afternoon all.
This morning when I woke, after a much needed sleep in, at 8.30. I declared today to be my day.I had my fruit toast and a grpaefruit for breakfast. Then packed my back pack with the chores and errands I needed to do and bottle of water. Snack of yoghurt and banana and I was off on my bike ride.
Very pleased with myself did the 10k's I normally do but changed my route to include a hill...plan was to walk down hill and then walk up it but as I approached it I thought oh what have I got to loose I'll try biking down and I'll walk up. So I went down really didn't include much 'biking' as I free wheeled most of it, then carried on the road a waYS turned around and was heading for the hill, go on give it a go...I huffed and puffed and gasped and panted but I made it to the top. Nearing the top I thought I'll rest a while but whenI got to top I carried on and within what only seemed like seconds I was back to breathing normally I had recovered and continued on my trek. As it happened it was exactly 10k to the shops so I stopped did my messages then rode on to Mum's had a coffee with her and my snack and then home again. All up I travelled 12 k but as the last 2 was stop and starts I don't say that counts. My legs are a bit tight now but I am just so darn proud of myself.
Those darn scales may not be moving much over the last 3 mths but I know darn well I couldn't have clocked up 12 k on bike and battled that hill 3 mths ago so my fittness has made a marked improvement. This afternoon I was booked in for a spa and massage but unfortunately the massage has had to be postponed the lady had double booked herself and muggens me said I'd step back for another day. So still going for the spa.
Have salmon with papaya salsa on menu for tea with baby gourmet tatties, corn on cob and green beans. I have also said I'll join the 'over 60's group' tomorrow on there bus trip, I don't fit in the age bracket but am going as a voulenteer. The fact they are going to the beach has nothing to do with my voulenteering at all, not half it hasn't...i can put up with 12 old wrinklies if it means I can go for a walk/paddle in the sea. They are also intending a grocery stop so that will be good as I am out of veges and fruit again.cket but am going as a voulenteer. The factthey are going to the beach has nothing to do with my voulenteering at all, not half it hasn't...i can put up with 12 old wrinklies if it means I can go for a walk/paddle in the sea. So my ME day will continue into tomorrow to a degree. (and if the shopping part should happen to venture near Mill Hill Jewellers well what is a girl to do but to go with the flow.)
Best go get ready for spa. Have a good afternoon everyone and enjoy Felicity day as much as I will be.

I looked at myself in a full length mirror last week something I never do, I have sunken bits in stead of buldges.
My fat hard swollen stomach is wobbly and saggy...resembles a deflated balloon.
I can walk for ages
Shopping doesn't kill me.
My skin feels better.
Insteaad of owning 2 tent frocks and one pair of slacks I have nearly 100 coat hangers full of clothes and t-shirts every colour imaginable except black.
I enjoy riding my bike.
I care how I look when I leave the house.

What a week phew!!!

This has been an extremely long week and sure glad it is over.

Monday and Tuesday was in Timaru and Dunedin which basically was running from start to finish...never got home until 10pm Tuesday night. Worked rest of week and as the week wnet on got tieder and tieder...by night time it took me allmy time to satay awake and didn;t cook meals had toast and peanit butter one night and ham rolls Friday night. Saturday late lunch we went out for late Valentines meal. Late lunch early tea .... had a lovely meal and sure had no room for dessert.

Monday was dietican visit and although only recorded a 200gm loss in nearly 2mths I was more than happy with that. Margaret was happy with progress and made the comment of how I always dress nicely and the lovely colours I wear. I said it wasn't always like that so will take her my before dress next visit and show her my 'tent'. She was very impressed with my fitness challenges I have set myself for the coming months (see last entry) Back again April 4th so that will have the Duathlon under my belt by then.

When I unpacked my suitcase at hotel in Dunedin a lovely Valentines card fell out that hubby had slipped in between my swimming togs...was a lovley thought and surprise. When I got home his gift to me was to have tidied the back yard and shfit a mountain of soil and lay the new lawn under the fruti trees. A job that has been on the to do list for months so very nice.
Hada great beach walk including dunes in Dunedin and when possible used stairs not lift and it seemed like a lot of trips up and down. Good work out hehehe.

Wednesday I rejoined the Gym. Only could afford 2mths but that is fine. Had planned on joining after out trip up nth but then thought hey that is couple of mths away and fitness training missed. So joined and went for first visit today. Managed 4 mins on crosstrainer and 20 mins on exercycle so good cardio cause the heart was sure pumping.

Thurs and Fri I worked at my job I hate and I can tell youThurs at 11am I was very close to telling them to shove the job and it certainly concreted the fact I will hand in my notice in March. I don't need the agro. Business is on the market and a valuer was ther Thurs so with a little bit of luck the problem will be taken out of my hands in that new broom and all that but I'll not be staying regardless.

Saturday I did very little, other than house chores and mountians of washing and folding etc etc. Phoned a couple of friends to make most of the telecom weekend special. Then we went for our late lunch at 4.30.

Going for a bike ride in about an hour when it cools off a little.

The week ahead is not nearly as hectic phew. Infact I hope to even fit in a massage and spa...Mum gave me a voucher for Xmas and as yet i haven't been able to redeem it.
Ok off now to make a couple more phone calls, funny how I make ém all but no-one actuallly calls me. HHHmmmm wonder why it is I bother.

Have a greatweek.

The afternoon's developements

Phew I am tired and my hip is aching just thinking about what challenges I have set for myself for the next 8 or so months.
I have been thinking I need another challenge after the Duathlon in March but wasn't sure what it will be. I planned on doing the Lovelock Memorial 10k Fun walk again in October, but that isn't a challenge as I have done it already would just like t0 improve my time. Any way I was looking into a message board I visit and one of the members was talking about the Cadbury Moro Marathon in Dunedin in Sept so I looked at that and have decided on the 1/2 marathon. Looks great curcuit.
http://www.seenindunedin.co.nz/events/sporting/moro_marathon.html
Then I thought I still need something before then Sept is a long way off so looked further and found just the ticket. June Christchurch is a Marathon and fun walk so I'll do the 10k fun walk.
http://www.christchurchmarathon.co.nz/info.html

So that is me sorted for pretty much the year.

March 12th Womens Special K Duathlon
June 4th SBS 10k Fun Walk Christchurch
September 10th Cadbury Moro 1/2 Marathon
October (date to be set) Lovelock Memorial 10k Fun Walk

Did a 7k bike ride this morning and 2k walk over hill. Pretty quiet this afternoon.
A week and half a head of me...
Tomorrow morning I'll leave here for Timaru at 7am first appointment is at 9am at dietitian then have Mum's hearing appointment 10.30 will fit in couple of quick shops in middle. Then Lunch and on road again down to Dunedin I have an appointment at Dunedin hospital at 4pm. Hope to be out by 5.15 to go to Moana Pool for Aqua Gym then Pictures at 6.30 want to see Johnny Cash movie tea sometime after that back to hotel sleep. Up at 6.30 back to hospital at 8am then pool again for aqua classes at 9.15 bit more shopping and a beach walk then meeting with an online friend at 12.30 for lunch away from Dunedin by 2pm meeting at 4pm with another online friend in Oramaru walk at gardens. Grocery shopping and tea home again...hopefully be home by 10pm as I have to work on Wednesday.

Here I am at last!!!!

I sat down yesterday to post and the blog board was out of action. Then last night I had to work. I should be dong some mending now and will do it shortly but promised myself I'd post on here this weekend.

Hello everyone-I am doing ok. Just so darn tired at night when I get home from work. I just sit and blob not blog. Actually I had hoped this year I'd have been more energtic this summer but really don't feel any less tired than I did last year 40 kilos heavier.

Food could do with a hurry up and I do start the day well but it goes hey wire some where along the way...like last night and the fight I had with a bag of licorise alsorts they won...you never would guess how strong a bag of licorise can be it held me down while I was fighting back hard and kicking and screaming and jammed the lollies in my mouth and made me chew and swollow I was objecting all the time I assure you and didn't enjoy them at all but my mouth tells me they were YUMMY

Exercise however is better.
I am averaging 40k a week on my bike.
Walk 3 k most days.
3 days a week at pool and up to 12 lengths, sadly that won't last long only maybe another 3 weeks at pool as it will be getting cold by end of month. Biut I am going to join the gym when pool finishes. Was going to wait until May after our holiday but decided a week away from gym isn't gonna cost me much but I'll have gained a month of going if I join in March so will join 1st March.

Went out today and did the distance for duathlon. 3.5k walk 10k bike and further 1.5k walk a breeze did it in 2 hr 5mins planned on 2 hrs so happy enough with that...on the day I am sure it will be under the 2 hrs because I'll get caught up in the flow of others. I see on the GoGirl site they have announced the times and starts at 8am so that isn't to bad I thought it would have been earlier than that. Registration is 12 tilll 5 day b4 so that suits me as I planned on doing the curcit in the car might walk the 1.5 route but don't want to over do it then I'll register and all that stuff then go to the beach for a lovely paddle and stroll before going back to hotel for a spa and good nights sleep. Breakfast will be the biggest issue as I dont think the restarant at hotel opens till 6.30am will have to make inquires want to be out at site by 7.15 at latest. Must ask Jo from Chch what she has for brekkie she has done tons of these.

Went out for tea Friday night with the work crowd. Had soda water b4 we went to restaurant then 2 glasses of wine with dinner and soda after. I had a nice salad and chicken meal and no dessert as I was already full and would have spoilt the meal to stuff more food in me WOW isn't that ever a change, I have be known to stuff myself till I was sick then go back for more.

Realised something the other day while I was floundering in the pool doing my lengths as best as I can. No wonder I can't swim-as a child the primary school and then the intermediate I went to I was foundation pupil at both and so neither had a swimming pool we did gazzillions of fundraising at both but didn't get wet in them until years later when my son was a pupil. By highschool and I was 13/14years I had no confidence and usually found excuse for not swimming i remember having my period an awful lot those years. I did have bad cycles but not as often as that. The other reason for not going in the pool was my togs. They were very flash orange with black piping and I loved them I got them NEW yes not secondhand NEW for xmas or birthday can't remember now which so close together they merge into one anyways. But they were lovely and i thought I was great till I was in the middle of the pool and someone yelled out u could see right thru them when they were wet...they were only bathing togs for lounging poolside and looking glamourous not swimming togs. I can tell you when I bought my togs this year, which are the first ones I have bought since I made darn sure they were for getting wet. They also say on tag suitable for cylorine.

Ok really must do this mending and get clothes ready for work next week. Only have 2 full weeks left then it will be back on call agian thanks goodness as Much more of this will be the end of me. I have trip to Timaru on 13th and then Dundein on 14th so going from Timaru stay night then back here night of 14th. Will miss out on my aqua erobics because it is onlyu on Tues in timaru minght see if it is on in Dunedin pool body permitting.
Right gotta go

Talk to you all soon
Keep on program-it is thanks to you all that I am able to keep at it.
Hugs Felicity
